Sweden, Norway and Ireland joint speech on the 25 years anniversary of LHRC
On September 25, 2020, LHRC commemorated its 25th anniversary since its establishment on September 26, 1995.
LHRC's development partners were among guests who braced the event and gave their joint remarks on the human rights situation in Tanzania. In the speech that was delivered by the Ambassador of Sweden, H.E Anders Sjöberg, the trio - Embassy of Sweden, Norway, and Ireland congratulated the LHRC for its commendable efforts in the protection and promotion of human rights in Tanzania and reassured their support to the organization.
The embassies also expressed their disappointment as LHRC was not accredited to oversee 2020 civic polls.
