New Swiss Ambassador visits LHRC
New Swiss Ambassador to Tanzania, H.E. Didier Chassot has today on December 1, 2020, visited LHRC's office in Dar es Salaam to learn about LHRC work and human rights developments in Tanzania. Speaking during his visit H.E. Ambassador Didier commended LHRC’s efforts in advancing the status of human rights in Tanzania as he insisted that protection of human rights is a key component of the Swiss international policy. He added that the embassy is looking forward to establishing long term working relations with LHRC.
On her part, Anna Henga, the Executive Director of LHRC thanked H.E. Ambassador Didier for the visit and the Swiss Embassy for their support to LHRC. She further assured the ambassador of the continued commitment by LHRC to the protection and promotion of human rights in Tanzania.
