The Human Resources Unit is responsible for providing administration services to the entire organization including personnel administration, secretarial services, office attendance and security services, as well as general office administration with multi-skilled, versatile, high-performing and mobile workforce that operates across disciplines to fulfill the Organization’s complex and interrelated mandates in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The post is ultimately a support function to the Director of Finance and Administration as it focuses on enabling LHRC to function efficiently and smoothly administratively.
The Human Resources Unit Office plays a strategic role in helping the Organization to align its human resources capacity to meet the strategic objectives, Attracting, developing and retaining highly motivated staff is highly needed to the success of Legal and Human Rights Centre.
The primary objective of HRO is to provide a modern human resources service that supports a high-performing workforce for a more productive, flexible and results-oriented Organization such as ensure availability of adequate working tools and copies of rules, regulations and guidelines for performance, which governs the conducting of work and relations at work place and good environment for work.
Design and implement the recruitment and selection process for all positions in the organization. It provides advice, monitors performance, and develops the skills (Coordinate the identification of training and education needs process) and potential of staff in line with the mandates of the Legal and Human Rights Centre. Ensure that the Centre maintains up to date and accurate personnel records, work history, pay records, staff reports, appraisals and review reports.
The Human Resources Office Unit also ensures administration of the LHRC HR policy on staff benefits and entitlements equitably and maintains up to date personnel files on all LHRC employees with all relevant details.
